Serie A TIM: "I am concerned about the situation of AC Milan" (Aleksander Ceferin, UEFA)

"The situation of AC Milan and its Chinese owner... We are working on it; I can not say anything. I am concerned, but let's see what will happen in mid-December. The competent (UEFA) body will decide on the voluntary agreement requested by the club. Will there then be a settlement agreement with sporting sanctions? Anything is possible, but it is premature to talk about this," said Aleksander Ceferin (SLO), UEFA president, on the radio of the Italian daily newspaper La Repubblica, on 23/11/2017.

The "voluntary agreement" mentioned by Aleksander Ceferin is a procedure reserved particularly for clubs that have changed ownership in the last 12 months (see rules below), which is the case of AC Milan (Serie A TIM), sold €740m by Fininvest (holding company of the Silvio Berlusconi family) to Rossoneri Sport Investment Lux (a Luxembourg-based holding company of primarily Chinese investors), on 13/04/2017. This voluntary agreement would give AC Milan, if validated by UEFA, a temporary reprieve from Financial Fair Play regulations.
