Serie A: Italian Federation suspends sanction forcing AC Milan to play one game behind closed doors

The Court of Justice of the FIGC (Italian Football Federation) has suspended on an interim basis, the sanction on AC Milan of playing a match behind closed doors, the Federation announced on the 11/10/2013. The disciplinary body "request the study of new elements." The Italian club had initially been sanctioned for "territorial discrimination against opposing fans" on the 07/10/2013, following the Juventus-AC Milan match (3-2 on the 06/10/2013).

The ticket office for the AC Milan-Udinese match initially affected by the sanction, opened on the 14/10/2013. The match is scheduled for the 19/10/2013.

"We are happy to play in a stadium opened to the public and to be able to fight on equal terms with the Rossoneri. I reiterate my position: we must punish the guilty, not the clubs" said Giampaolo Pozzo, president of Udinese on the 11/10/2013.
