Champions League: Banco Santander (bank, ESP) becomes official partner until 2021

The Spanish bank Banco Santander has become an official partner of the Champions League for the 2018-2021 cycle, announced UEFA on 29/11/2017. This is a first level of partnership in the sponsorship hierarchy of the Champions League. The partnership also includes the 2018, 2019, and 2020 editions of the UEFA Super Cup, as well as the Youth League Finals and the Futsal Champions League Finals (final phase of these tournaments).

Banco Santander will succeed the Italian bank Unicredit as an official partner of the Champions League at the end of the 2017-18 season. As part of the partnership, Banco Santander will gain visibility on advertising panels and on UEFA's communication platforms.

Banco Santander, which has been the title sponsor of the Spanish top two divisions (LaLiga Santander and LaLiga 1|2|3) since 2016-17, is the third group to become an official partner of the Champions League (and Super Cup) for the 2018-2021 cycle, after Nissan (agreement formalised on 11/09/2017) and Heineken (on 01/02/2017) who extended their respective agreements.
