Serie A: Massimo Moratti sells 70% stake of Inter Milan to Indonesian Erick Thohir

Massimo Moratti, Inter Milan's majority shareholder since the 18/02/1995, has sold 70% of his club to ISC (International Sports Capital), the Indonesian group of businessman Erick Thohir for an amount reported to be around € 250m, on the 15/10/2013. This sale puts an end to six months of negotiations.

The ISC belongs to Erick Thohir (who now owns 35% of Inter) and his fellow Rosan Roeslani and Handy Soetedjo (17.5% each).

A general meeting of the club is scheduled for the 28/10/2013 to validate the accounts of 2012/13. An special general meeting will then endorse the change of ownership in November. Massimo Moratti, who remains at the club is unsure about the possibility of remaining president: "I think the decision is up to me. We will see."

• Inter is the second Serie A club to come under foreign ownership, after the sale, in July 2011, of AS Roma to Americans Thomas Di Benedetto and James Pallotta.
