Hong Kong: PCCW Media Group (NowTV and ViuTV) acquires TV Rights for the 2018 World Cup

Hong Kong-based telecommunications group PCCW has acquired the exclusive audiovisual rights to the 2018 World Cup from FIFA for Hong Kong on 30/11/2017. "NowTV (pay-TV subsidiary of PCCW) will be exclusively broadcasting all 64 matches live, while ViuTV (free-TV subsidiary) will broadcast 19 selected matches live, including the opening match, the two semi-finals and the final," announced PCCW.

NowTV, via Now Sport 2 and ViuTV, broadcast the 2018 World Cup draw, live from Moscow (RUS) on 01/12/2017. Now TV broadcast Euro 2016 in Hong Kong under non-exclusive rights acquired on 27/04/2016.
