Facebook: 81.3 million fans in total for the 20 Serie A TIM clubs (December 2017)

The 20 clubs in the 2017-18 Serie A TIM season have a cumulative 81.3 million fans on the social network Facebook, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/12/2017. The Serie A TIM is the third most popular Top 5 league on Facebook, behind the Premier League and LaLiga Santander with more than 4 million fans on average per club.

Juventus, the Italian champions for six consecutive seasons and 2016-17 Champions League finalists, are the most followed Italian club on Facebook with 30.5 million fans.

In absolute terms, Inter Milan achieved the best increase of the Serie A TIM with 387,459 additional fans in October 2017. Bologna FC 1909 recorded the best percentage growth (+6.3%) in November 2017.

Four of the 20 Serie A TIM clubs saw their number of fans decrease compared to on 01/10/2017. This drop could be explained by a cleaning operated by Facebook, which removes the "likes" recorded by "bots" (robots) or by inactive or deactivated accounts.
