FIFPro: Philippe Piat re-elected to the presidency for a four-year term, "the last one" he ensures

Philippe Piat has been re-elected for a four-year term as president of FIFPro, at the General Assembly of the body held in Cairo (EGY), announced the International Union of Professional Footballers on 06/12/2017 .

"His record, punctuated by a historic agreement with FIFA on 06/11/2017, suggested such an outcome, because under his chairmanship, FIFPro has strengthened, modernized, and became a player that counts in the global football ecosystem," added FIFPro.

"I already said this in 2013, but this time, it's true: this will be my last term," stated Philippe Piat, 75 years old. The FIFPro president was "visibly moved by the renewed support by the members of FIFPro, whom he knows very well, and they now he will be able to carry forward ideas, and to take the figh into his own hands -- while he does not launch hostilities himself, he remains a 'fighter' -- in the interest of footballers all over the world and in the interest of football itself," said the international foootballers union in its statement.
