Germany: TV audiences of the Champions League (2015-2018 cycle) sur ZDF (free-TV)

The German public group ZDF broadcasts the best fixture of each week of the Champions League, on Wednesday evenings, and the final, for the 2015-2018 period. ZDF pays an estimated €50m per year.

Sky Deutschland, a German pay-TV group, spends €70m annually according to the German press, to broadcast 146 matches per season, including 128 exclusively, over the 2015-2018 period.

From 2018-19, Champions League matches will be no longer be broadcast on free-TV in Germany (excluding the final if a German club participates). Sky Deutschland and Perform have acquired, for Germany and Austria, the broadcasting rights of across all platforms to the Champions League for the 2018-2021 period on 13/06/2017. Perform will broadcast its matches on its sports OTT platform DAZN.
