Serie B ConTe.it: Pescara Calcio 1936 present official plans for the "Pescara Arena" project

Pescara Calcio 1936 (Serie B ConTe.it) officially presented its project for the construction of the "Pescara Arena", at the Chamber of Commerce in Pescara (Abruzzo, ITA), in the presence of Giovanni Malagò, president of CONI, on 30/11/2017.

The project includes the construction of a 20,700 capacity stadium, a commercial area, restaurants, conference rooms and a 1,600-space car park covering a total area of 118,000 square meters. The whole project should be 100% privately funded.

Pescara Calcio 1936 currently play at the Stadio Adriatico (20,476 capacity), an enclosure inaugurated on 29/12/1955. "We have always been keen on the idea of a renovation of the stadium. Then we had to face constraints and a few weeks ago the idea was born to build a new stadium, just for football, in a very beautiful area, south of the city, considering that the new UEFA criteria provide for stadiums without athletic tracks. We are convinced that this is the right choice, and hope that this our opinion is shared by all," said Daniele Sebastiani, club president, on 12/06/2017.
