Girona FC: agreement with PGA Catalunya Resort for the construction of new training grounds

Girona FC (LaLiga Santander) have presented an agreement with the PGA Catalunya Resort (urban development project including a hotel complex and a golf course) for the construction of two new training grounds in the Vilobí area (located less then 20km from Girona, Catalonia), as of January 2018, indicated the club on 13/12/2017.

"The new facilities will occupy 20,000 square metres and will be used exclusively by the club for the next three and a half years. It will consist of two training grounds, one hybrid pitch of 110x72 metres, and one natural grass of 160x72 metres including an attached smaller pitch. The project will also include changing rooms, offices, a space for the medical staff and a gym," added Girona FC.

"The strength of our project is that the PGA has been willing to partner with Girona FC," said Ignasi Mas-Bagà CEO of the club promoted to LaLiga Santander in 2017-18. "This is an intermediate step towards our goal of having a real training centre for which we have been looking for a location," added Delfí Geli, president of Girona FC.
