"We will conclude the negotiations and sign with Puma shortly," said Augustin Senghor, president of the FSF, to the press, at the end of the executive committee meeting of the Senegalese Football Federation on 14/12/2017.

A five-year contract (2018-2023), which, according to sources, is worth between 1.6bn CFA West African Francs (€2.44m on 18/12/2017) and 2.5bn CFA West African Francs (€3.8m) -- or from €0.5m to €0.76m per season -- has been reported by the Senegalese media.

Puma, the equipment supplier of Senegalese national teams from December 2004 to 31/12/2014 (allocation of €0.5m per season), will succeed the Emirati brand Romai Sports, which became a partner of the FSF for two years (until December 2018 ) on 04/11/2016. The contract was broken prematurely, "by mutual agreement with Romai", according to Augustin Senghor on 28/09/2017.

Senegal (Group H) thus becomes the third country participating in the final phase of the 2018 World Cup equipped by Puma, alongside Switzerland (Group E) and Uruguay (Group A).
