India: Apollo Tyres (tyres) partner of the Hero Indian Super League for the 2017-18 season

The Indian tyre manufacturer, Apollo Tyres, has become a partner of the Hero Indian Super League (ISL) for the 2017-18 season, on 14/12/2017.

Apollo Tyres has the status of official partner, the third level in the sponsorship hierarchy of the Indian league. "Apollo will launch a series of activations across the host cities to boost the engagement of ISL fans," according to media sources. Apollo Tyres became the main sponsor of Minerva Punjab FC, team of Hero I-League (Indian first division), for the 2017-2022 period on 24/11/2017, and is also a main sponsor (first level) of Chennaiyin FC (ISL) since an agreement on 16/11/2017.

"We are looking at leveraging on the organically growing and fast adoption of football as a sport in India, and Indian Super League is the best platform for that. Football being the key element of our brand building strategy across geographies, it would be our endeavour to work at the grassroots level of football," said Satish Sharma, president APMEA (Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa) at Apollo Tyres on 14/12/2017.
