Sky Bet Championship: investors who control OGC Nice (Ligue 1 Conforama) acquire Barnsley FC

An investor group led by Chien Lee (CHN), founder and president of NewCity Capital (a Chinese consortium investing in sports, tourism, hotels and real estate), and Paul Conway (USA) and Grace Hung (CHN), leaders and co-founders of Pacific Media Group (Chinese group specialising in media and entertainment), have acquired a majority stake in Barnsley FC (Sky Bet Championship), which previously belonged to the Cryne family, indicated the club on 19/12/2017.

Chien Lee and Paul Conway are also two members of the 4-person group that acquired 80% of OGC Nice (Ligue 1 Conforama) in June 2016.

"The best interests of Barnsley Football Club and its fans have always been at the forefront of everybody's minds and the Cryne family is now happy to officially announce that a deal has been agreed between all of the parties.
