LaLiga Santander: Celta de Vigo presents its real estate project, includes stadium renovation

RC Celta de Vigo (LaLiga Santander) presented its sports infrastructure project that includes the renovation of the 29,000-seater Estadio Municipal de Balaídos, and the construction of a "sports city" in Mos (less than 20 kilometres from Vigo, in Galicia), indicated the club on the occasion of the celebration of its 94 years, on 15/12/2017.

Regarding the Balaídos, Celta wanted the town hall of Vigo, the owner of the enclosure, to grant a concession of long duration once the renovation works of are carried out. A memorandum of understanding has been signed to this effect by the parties, but the concession will not be effective until March 2018.

Regarding the construction of its sports city, RC Celta de Vigo has signed an agreement with the municipality of Mos (see below), and the work should start in June or July 2018, and be completed by the end of 2018 or the beginning of 2019.
