Facebook: 82.2 million fans in total for the 20 Serie A TIM clubs (January 2018)

The 20 clubs in the 2017-18 Serie A TIM season have a cumulative 82.2 million fans on the social network site Facebook, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/01/2018. The Serie A TIM is the third most popular Top 5 league on Facebook, behind the Premier League and LaLiga Santander with over 4.1 million fans per club.

Juventus, the Italian champions for six consecutive seasons and 2016-17 Champions League finalists, are the most followed Italian club on Facebook with nearly 30.7 million fans.

In absolute terms, Inter Milan achieved the best increase of the Serie A TIM with 534,123 additional fans in December 2017. Bologna FC 1909 recorded the best percentage growth (+44.9%) in December 2017.

Three of the 20 Serie A TIM clubs saw their number of fans decrease compared to on 01/12/2017. This drop could be explained by a cleaning operated by Facebook, which removes the "likes" recorded by "bots" (robots) or by inactive or deactivated accounts.
