Girona FC: shareholders approve a projected budget of €44.5m for 2017-18

The Girona FC (LaLiga Santander) general meeting of shareholders have approved a budget of €44.5m, with a projected profit of more than €2.4m for the 2017-18 season, indicated the Catalan club on 22/12/2017.

On the occasion of this general assembly, Ignasi Mas-Bagà, CEO of the club and chair of the board of directors, reminded the club that it has more than 9,200 subscribers for the 2017-18 season, and that the number of peñas (fan clubs) of which there are 16 currently, is constantly increasing. "We do not work with promises but with actions and that's what motivates me on a daily basis," said Delfí Geli, president of Girona FC.

"We have to be the second best team in Catalonia, LaLiga is a very long league and it will take a lot of effort but we are satisfied with the results achieved by the team so far," said Ferran Soriano, CEO of City Football Group (an umbrella company owned by Abu Dhabi United Group), the majority shareholder, along with Girona Football Group (a Dutch company based in Amsterdam and led by Pere Guardiola), of Girona FC, since on 23/08/2017.
