Twitter: 68.7 million followers in total for the 20 Premier League clubs (January 2018)

The 20 clubs involved in the 2017-18 Premier League had a cumulative 68.7 million followers on the social network Twitter, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/01/2018. The Premier League ranks first in the European Top 5 with an average of 3.4 million followers per club.

Manchester United are the most-watched English club on Twitter with 16.6 million followers, ahead of Arsenal FC (12.7m) and Chelsea FC (11.3m). Manchester City (5th) had the best percentage growth with 4.3% additional followers (+228,332 followers) compared to on 01/12/2017.

In total, the 20 Premier League clubs drew 1,898,667 new followers in December 2017, 76% more than the 58 clubs of Ligue 1 Conforama, the Serie A TIM and the Bundesliga combined (1,078,412).
