ESports: Australian Football Federation launches competition on FIFA game, 01/02/2018

The Australian Football Federation (FFA) is launching an eSports competition - the 'e-League' - from 01/02/2018 "to connect fans of the global phenomenon FIFA game with the Hyundai A-League," said the body on 22/12/2017.

"In partnership with the Hyundai A-League clubs, the e-League will begin on 1 February 2018 and run for the last nine rounds of the Hyundai A-League. This provides for each club to play each other once and will end in April with a tournament-style final event. Each club would have two e-League competitors, with clubs choosing one competitor directly and the other via a draft. The draft process invites interested competitors to register their interest as a first step via the website www.a-league.com.au/e-league. The FFA’s e-League will determine a new e-League champion for both Xbox and PlayStation," said the FFA.
