Matchday 21 of the 2017-18 Premier League season drew 37,857 spectators on average per game, from 30/12/2017 to 04/01/2018. Nine of the ten matches were played on 30 and 31/12/2017. The Tottenham Hotspur FC - West Ham United FC (1-1) game, originally scheduled on Sunday 31/12/2017 at Wembley Stadium (90,000 capacity), had been postponed until Thursday 04/01/2018 to prevent potential public transport problems in London on New Year's Eve. Matchday 21 of the Premier League was thus completed after Matchday 22 (from 1st to 03/01/2018). The average fill rate on Matchday 21 was nearly 90%.

Manchester United FC - Southampton FC (0-0), on Saturday 30/12/2017 (kick-off at 18:30 CET), was the game that recorded the best attendance of the matchday, with 75,051 spectators at Old Trafford (75,643 commercial capacity, a fill rate greater than 99%). Four games drew more than 50,000 spectators and one under 20,000.

The average league attendance reached 37,942 spectators per game after 22 matchdays, for an average fill rate of nearly 95%.
