Lega Serie A: Nike renew agreement as technical sponsor of the Serie A TIM

"We have renewed the sponsorship agreement with Nike, we will evaluate further proposals for naming rights and other sponsorship agreements of the league," said Carlo Tavecchio, temporary administrator of the Lega Serie A, to the from the Ordinary Assembly of the Italian League organised in Milan (ITA) on 04/01/2018.

Nike has been supplying the official balls for the Serie A TIM since the 2011-12 season. The duration of the new partnership has not been disclosed to 05/01/2018. The contract is estimated to be a three-season contract which would cover the 2018-2021 period.

TIM, brand of the Italian telecommunications group Telecom Italia, has held the naming rights of the Italian first division since 1998-99. The mobile operator extended its contract until the end of the 2017-18 season on 11/03/2015. The rights extend to the Italian Cup (TIM Cup), the Italian Supercoppa (TIM Supercoppa) and the youth league (Primavera TIM). The annual allocation is estimated at €16m.
