LaLiga Santander: turnover of €62.2m and net profit of €13m for Las Palmas in 2016-17

UD Las Palmas SAD (LaLiga Santander) posted a turnover of €62.2m in the 2016-17 fiscal year (from 01/07/2016 to 30/06/2017), and a net profit of €13.1m, announced the club at its general meeting on 27/12/2017.

The UD Las Palmas general shareholders meeting also approved a budget of €75.4m for the 2017-18 season, with a profit after tax of more than €12.8m "mainly due to the sale of Roque Mesa (Spanish midfielder) to Swansea City AFC (Premier League), and the increase in revenues from TV rights and other commercial revenues," said the Canary Islands club.

"Regarding the cost of the wage bill, it amounts to €35.5m for the 2017-18 season, an amount well above the €24.8m in the 2016-17 season", added Las Palmas, whose shareholders also voted for a capital increase of €1.06m, through the issue of 11,282 shares with a value of €94 each.
