Media: Michael Biard new President of Distribution for Fox Networks

American Michael Biard has been appointed President of Distribution for Fox Networks, on the 21/10/2013. He replaces Mike Hopkins, new CEO of Hulu - video on demand and joint venture of NBC Universal, News Corp. and the Walt Disney Company.

Michael Biard's new responsibilities include distribution and marketing strategy for 21st Century Fox's 45 national and regional networks, including Fox Sports 1. He will also oversee the distribution of Fox Broadcasting.

"In a media environment that is constantly evolving, Michael Biard has a rare combination of skills. This is a gifted negotiator who can analyse and solve complex problems in order to bring added value to Fox and our partners", said Peter Rice, president and CEO of Fox Networks Group.

Michael Biard had been executive vice president in charge of the distribution of Fox Networks since 2010. He joined the media group in 2000 as sales manager and worked for several channels including Fox Soccer Channel, Fox College Sports and Fox Soccer Plus.
