Eredivisie: Richard Denton (Cruyff Institute) sponsoring and partnerships manager of Vitesse Arnhem

The Briton Richard Denton has joined Vitesse Arnhem (Eredivisie) as sponsoring and partnership manager, announced the Dutch club on 11/12/2017. Denton was appointed in October 2017. He is under the authority of Olivier Smit, commercial director of Vitesse.

Richard Denton has also been a professor of marketing, event management, and infrastructure management at the Johan Cruyff Institute in Amsterdam (NED) since September 2012. Richard Denton has more than 25 years of experience with brands such as Canon, Philips, ABN Amro, Heineken, TCS, and Unilever. He has also developed fan engagement programmes and designed and sold marketing rights programmes for events such as the FIFA World Cup, the Champions League, Formula 1, and the Olympic Games.

In the Netherlands, Richard Denton collaborated with partners from Eredivisie, the KNVB, PSV Eindhoven, and AFC Ajax. He has also led sports marketing agencies such as IMG, Bigdaddy, and Trefpunt Sports & Entertainment.
