Bundesliga: return of the league from winter break, Matchday 18 scheduled from 12 to 14/01/2018

Bayer 04 Leverkusen - FC Bayern Munich (Matchday 18 of the 2017-18 Bundesliga season), scheduled on Friday 12/01/2018 (kick-off at 20:30 CET), will be the first Bundesliga match of the 2018 year after a one month break. The other eight games of the matchday will be played on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14/01/2018.

The previous round (Matchday 17) was held from 15 to 17/12/2017. In the table, FC Bayern Munich, winners of the five previous editions of the Bundesliga, are currently in the lead (41 points, 13 wins, 2 draws, and 2 losses), 11 points ahead of FC Schalke 04, (30 points, 8 wins, 6 draws, and 3 losses).

The average league attendance during the first part of the 2017-18 Bundesliga season reached 44,178 spectators per match, for a fill rate of 91%. Borussia Dortmund (third in the table after 17 matchdays with 28 points) do not only have the best average attendance in the Bundesliga, with 80,877 spectators per game, but also the best mark in Europe.
