LaLiga: tender launched for TV rights in 36 countries (including Italy) from 2018-19

LaLiga has launched the tender for the broadcasting rights of LaLiga Santander (and LaLiga 1|2|3 promotion play-offs), in 36 countries (including Italy, see below), for the 2018-2021 period (countries of the European Union) or 2018-2023 (outside of the European Union), on 08/01/2018.

Interested broadcasters have until 05/02/2018 to respond to tender, which is headed by Mediapro Sports, the rights holder of international distribution of audiovisual rights of the Spanish football league, for the 2015-2020 cycle since 19/06/2015. Mediapro is aiming to sign three-year contracts (2015-2018, new cycle 2018-2021) with broadcasters in the European Union.

This is the second tender launched by LaLiga regarding its international rights for the 2018-2021 period (and 2018-2023). The first, concerning 32 European countries, was launched on 05/12/2017 (bids to be returned before 15/01/2018).
