Sky Bet Championship: Aston Villa FC integrates contactless payment into its season and member cards

"Aston Villa have been confirmed as the first club in the world to integrate pre-paid contactless and chip and pin payment technology into our season and member cards," announced the Birmingham club on 03/01/2018.

"As part of the innovative scheme, fans will be able to use their cards to enter the stadium (Villa Park, 42,785 capacity), and at all Villa Park payment terminals - including concourses - the Ticket Office and the Aston Villa Store," added Aston Villa FC (Sky Bet Championship).

Prepaid cards will also allow cardholders to shop at the official Aston Villa FC online store, as well as through official retailers of club products of which a list will be provided.

"Traditionally season and member cards have been restricted to stadium access and online members benefits but, by introducing the integrated payment capability, we will be able to build up a more detailed and personalised understanding of each season ticket holder," said Aston Villa FC.
