Chelsea FC: Guy Laurence (ex Rogers Communications) chief executive effective February 2018

Guy Laurence has been named chief executive of Chelsea FC (Premier League), announced the London club on 11/01/2018.

"Guy will start his position with the reigning Premier League champions at the start of February. He will report directly to the club’s Board of Directors and take overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the club, including the continuing development of our commercial activities in the UK and around the world, focusing on increasing club revenues," said Chelsea FC

Guy Laurence has previously served as president and CEO of Rogers Communications (a Canadian media and communications company), CEO of Vodafone (telecommunications) in the UK and the Netherlands, and director of Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment (MLSE), the holding company which owns the Toronto Raptors (NBA), Toronto Maple Leafs (NHL), and Toronto FC (MLS) franchises.
