CAF: Noureddine Naybet (MAR), Robert Kidiaba (CGO) and Adel Chedli (TUN), ambassadors of CHAN 2018

"The African Football Confederation (CAF) has appointed three ambassadors for the final phase of the 2018 Total African Nations Championship (CHAN), Noureddine Naybet (MAR), Robert Kidiaba (CGO), and Adel Chedli (TUN)," announced CAF on 09/01/2018. "These ambassadors are African players who have made all or part of their career on the African continent," said CAF.

The African Nations Championship (CHAN) takes place every two years, alternating with the African Cup of Nations (CAN), and only players from a club in their country can participate. The 2018 edition was to take place in Kenya, but CAF changed its mind "in view of the accumulated delays and different reports of inspection missions conducted in the country" at the meeting of its executive committee in Accra (GHA) on 23/09/2017.

This fifth edition of the competition, in which 16 African teams are competing, is taking place in Morocco from 13/01 to 04/02/2018, in the cities of Casablanca, Marrakech, Tangier, and Agadir.
