UEFA: nine stadiums interested in hosting the 2020 European Super Cup

"UEFA has received declarations of interest from nine member associations to host the UEFA Super Cup in 2020," announced the European confederation on 15/01/2018.

"The bidding procedure for the selection of the venue to host the UEFA Super Cup in 2020 was launched on 08/12/2017, with a 12/01/2018 deadline set for associations to express their interest. Associations hosting matches of the 2020 UEFA European Football Championship final tournament (see list below) were not eligible to bid for the Super Cup," added UEFA.

Each August the UEFA Super Cup is played on neutral ground, between the Champions League winners and the winners of the Europa League.

An expression of interest by a candidate does not constitute a commitment. Final proposals must be submitted with applications by 29/03/2018. The UEFA Executive Committee will select the organising federation in May 2018.
