Netherlands: TOTO (sports betting) title sponsor of the national cup until 2021-22

TOTO, Nederlandse Loterij's (the Netherlands national lottery) sports betting offer, has extended its partnership with the KNVB (the Royal Dutch Football Association) by becoming the title sponsor of the Netherlands national cup on 12/01/2018. TOTO has been a partner of the Netherlands cup since 2009.

The contract will cover the next five editions of the competition, until the end of the 2021-22 season. The tournament will be called the TOTO KNVB Beker during this period. The amount of the contract is estimated at €0.5m per season.

This is not the first time that the Netherlands national cup has been the subject of a naming agreement: the competition was called the Amstel Cup from 1995 to 2005, then the Gatorade Cup in 2006.

The year 2018 marks the 100^th edition of the final of the Netherlands cup. To celebrate this anniversary, the KNVB has decided to award a golden trophy - and not silver as it has been since its creation - to the winner of the TOTO KNVB Beker, on 22/04/2018 at De Kuip (51,177 capacity) in Rotterdam.
