Ireland: Aviva (insurance) extends its Aviva Stadium naming rights for 5 years until 2025

Aviva Ireland, the Irish subsidiary of the UK insurance company, has extended its naming rights to the Aviva Stadium (51,700 capacity) in Dublin (Ireland), owned jointly by the Irish Football and Rugby Federations, the FAI and the IRFU, until 2025 on 17/01/2018. The extension would be five additional years for €4m per year, according to Irish press. The agreement allows the company to retain the name of the stadium it has held since its inauguration on 14/05/2010, for an initial agreement of €40m over ten years, signed in February 2009.

Aviva has the status of official sponsor, the second level in the sponsorship hierarchy of the FAI and first level in the sponsorship hierarchy of the IRFU. "The company, which has been a proud partner to the IRFU and FAI since 2010, also sponsors and supports two successful grassroots programmes - the FAI’s Soccer Sisters programme and the IRFU’s Mini Rugby Festivals," said the FAI on 17/01/2018.
