LaLiga: agreement with Elitfotboll Dam (women's league, SWE) for the development of women's football

"LaLiga and Elitfotboll Dam (Swedish Women's Football League) to collaborate in improving women's football in Spain and Sweden," announced the Spanish body on 18/01/2017.

"This exclusive agreement is the first that LaLiga has signed with a professional women's league. Its main focus is to encourage clubs to play a pivotal role in the development of the sport, through which the clubs themselves will be the prime benefactors. One particularly notable aspect of the link-up is the commitment to digitalisation as a part of the strategy to promote and expand the women's game," added LaLiga.

"Both parties will work together to develop educational activities and encourage corporate social responsibility. These will be designed to promote gender equality and the integration of women and girls into society through the medium of football," concluded LaLiga.
