France: beIN Sports retains the audiovisual rights to LaLiga Santander until 2021 (€30m/ year)

The pay-TV group beIN Sports, the audiovisual rights holder for France of the entirety of LaLiga Santander matches (2015-2018 cycle), will retain its rights for the 2018-2021 period, announced on 22/01/2018.

The pay-TV group would pay €30m per year to retain these rights, versus €26m per year for the current period (2015-2018), according to the French daily sports newspaper, l'Équipe.

This acquisition followed the call for tenders launched by LaLiga for LaLiga Santander broadcasting rights in 32 European countries (excluding Spain), for the 2018-2021 (European Union country) or 2018-2023 (outside the European Union) periods, on 05/12/2017.
