2016-17 revenue: Manchester United retain first place in the Deloitte Football Money League 2018

With £581.2m (€676.3m) in revenue in 2016-17, Manchester United FC (Premier League) topped the ranking of the Deloitte Football Money League 2018 (published by the audit and consultancy firm Deloitte) for the second year in a row, on 22/01/2018.

As in 2015-16, Manchester United are ahead of two LaLiga Santander clubs: Real Madrid CF (€674.6m), who have moved up one place, and FC Barcelona (€648.3m), who lost one place in the ranking of football clubs which generate the most revenue, made by Deloitte UK's Sports Business Group.

Manchester United had consistently held first place in the 1998 ranking - the first edition of the Deloitte Football Money League - until 2005, before being dethroned in 2006 by Real Madrid, the leaders until 2014-15. Notably, the Premier League comprises 10 of the Top 20 places in the Deloitte Football Money League in 2018.
