MLS and Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU), its official education partner, have announced the extension of their partnership for another three years "continuing upon their commitment to help MLS players and staff earn their college degrees," said MLS on 18/01/2018.

The partnership between MLS and SNHU dates back to 2015. It allows MLS players, as well as members of technical staff, to take online courses and achieve university diplomas. It also highlights initiatives in terms of youth programmes and local charitable operations to promote access to education for people in need.

"Often times, professional players have to choose between going to college and going into the pros. But thanks to this partnership, MLS players no longer have to postpone one dream to achieve the other. We’re excited to continue our partnership with MLS to help make a difference in communities across North America," said Steve Thiel, director of strategic partnerships at Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester, New Hampshire (USA).
