FC Bayern Munich: 226 participants for HackDays (innovation contest) at the Allianz Arena

"226 participants from 43 countries and seven inspiring challenges packed with astonishing results: the first edition of the FC Bayern HackDays resulted in a number of exciting concepts for the German record champions' digital future," said FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) on 23/01/2018.

"Bayern fans and experts from various disciplines came up with numerous ideas for using new technologies in the modern world to bring the fans even closer to the German record champions. There was no limit to the creativity! There were "seven challenges, including personalised fan experiences, virtual reality, augmented reality, global fan networking and innovative services each yielded one winning team that presented their outline to a jury," explained the German club.

The team "Beat Adidas" (the brand is a partner of "FC Bayern HackDays") was awarded the prize for the best project by Giovane Elber, a former striker of the club, at the Allianz Arena (see photo). Their innovation was a mobile application connected to an online store that allows fans to get discounts by participating in sports…
