"The 2017-18 season will be key for the commercial development of FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander), with several projects slated to start in 2018: the retail business, which will return to the club after being run by Nike for many years, and for which we will aim to provide our fans worldwide an unprecedented experience; the creation of an experience center in Haikou, China; and a soccer academy on Long Island, New York," said Francesco Calvo, chief revenue officer of FC Barcelona, to News Tank Football on 25/01/2018.

Francesco Calvo will participate in the final debate, titled "Super Clubs: Innovative Strategies for Commercial Growth", at the Think Football 2018 conference, hosted by News Tank Football at the University of Paris-Dauphine on 01/02/2018.
