Italy: Rai aquires Azzurri matches (2018-2022), and to share the rights to Euro 2020 with Sky

The Italian public broadcaster Rai has acquired, for Italy, the exclusive broadcasting rights to matches of the Italian men's national team for the 2018-2022 period (excluding the World Cup and Euro) on 25/01/2018.

The rights, acquired from the agency CAA Eleven, a Swiss company that has been managing the commercial rights of UEFA national team competitions since 2012, include the qualifying matches for Euro 2020 and the 2022 World Cup, as well as Nations League matches and friendlies of the gli Azzurri.

The pay-TV group Sky Italia acquired the rights to broadcast the 51 matches, including 24 Euro 2020 matches exclusively, in Italy, on 25/01/2018. Rai already holds, for free-to-air broadcast, the rights of 27 matches of this competition, including those of the Italian team if they qualify.

  • The Rai group also announced that it will participate in the next bidding for the rights of the TIM Cup Sponsored name of the Coppa Italia, the Italian national cup. for the 2018-2021 period, on 25/01/2018
