Premier League: Swansea City AFC launch new mobile app with ticketing interface

Swansea City AFC (Premier League) have launched a new mobile application that integrates a ticketing interface for all club matches at the Liberty Stadium (21,088 capacity) on 19/01/2018.

"Developed in conjunction with our partners Sports Alliance (customer relations), Other Media (mobile application design), and Ticketmaster (ticketing), the new In-App ticketing option is believed to be the first of its kind available for football clubs in the UK," said the Welsh club.

"From this moment forwards, Swans fans will be able to purchase their tickets online and display them via their mobile phones at the turnstile to gain entry to all football fixtures at the Liberty Stadium. The service will also be rolled out to season ticket holders for the 2018-19 campaign, although season cards will also remain fully operational going forward as an additional option," added Swansea City.

In addition to the new 'e-ticket' option, there has been a decrease in online booking fees (from £1.60 to £1.25 (from £1.80 to £1.40) and the abolition of transaction fees (£1.25/€1.40) for all ticket purchases…
