Stade de France: 35 million spectators in 20 years including 6.5 million for les Bleus (92 matches)

"The Stade de France is celebrating its 20^th anniversary, and an incredibly successful 20 years! Since 1998, nearly 35 million have come to the Stade de France," said the Stade de France consortium on 25/01/2018.

With a capacity of 80,000, the Stade de France was inaugurated during the friendly match France - Spain (1-0) on 28/01/1998. In 20 years, it has notably hosted 92 matches of the French national team (59 wins, 19 draws and 14 defeats), which have drawn a total of 6.5 million spectators.

In addition to the final of the 1998 World Cup, victory against Brazil (3-0) on 12/07/1998, the Stade de France saw les Bleus win the final of the Confederations Cup in 2003 (1- 0 versus Cameroon, 29/06/2003), and play the final of Euro 2016 (0-1 defeat against Portugal on 10/07/2016).
