Facebook: 252.2 million fans in total for the 20 Premier League clubs (February 2018)

The 20 clubs in the 2017-18 Premier League season have more than 252.2 million cumulative fans on the social network Facebook, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/02/2018. This total makes the Premier League the most popular European league on Facebook, with over 12.6 million fans on average per club.

Manchester City saw the best growth in absolute value and percentage of a Premier League club in January 2018 with more than 2.3 million additional fans (+8.1%). With over 31 million fans, the Manchester club has the 4th highest total of a Premier League club and has gained one place at the expense of Liverpool FC, now ranked 5th.

Manchester United remains the most liked English club on Facebook with nearly 73.8 million fans (+0.1%). Chelsea FC, the reigning Premier League champions, are second with more than 47.8 million fans. 14 clubs in the English league have at least one million fans, a record in the Top 5 leagues.
