Facebook: 236 million fans in total for the 20 clubs of LaLiga Santander (February 2018)

The 20 clubs in the 2017-18 LaLiga Santander season have more than 236 million cumulative fans on the social network Facebook, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/02/2018. This makes LaLiga Santander the second most popular Top 5 European league on Facebook, behind the Premier League, with more than 11.8 million fans on average per club.

Real Madrid CF, the most-liked Spanish club with more than 106.6 million fans on Facebook, posted the strongest growth with +246,189 additional fans in January 2018.

FC Barcelona and Real Madrid CF have more than 210 million fans, more than 89% of the total fans of the clubs of LaLiga Santander, and more than the 58 clubs of the Serie A TIM, Bundesliga, and Ligue 1 Conforama combined.

With +15.7% more subscribers (+8,466 "likes"), CD Leganés, the LaLiga Santander club with the least fans on Facebook, was also the club with the highest percentage growth in January 2018.
