QTA: "PSG have the ambition to become a global sports brand" (Jean-Claude Blanc, Paris-SG)

"PSG have the ambition to become a global sports brand. To achieve this, we have two levers, football and Paris. We are very lucky to be representing Paris", said Jean Claude Blanc, Deputy Chief Operating Officer of the Paris club, on the 29/10/2013, at the presentation of their partnership with QTA (Qatar Tourism Authority.)

QTA and Paris Saint-Germain have become partners until 2016. QTA will pay PSG €150 to €200 million per year in return for the club's support in promoting Qatar.

"Qatar Tourism Authority and Paris Saint-Germain are proud to go one step further and open a new chapter in their ambitious partnership, further solidifying an association between the world-famous sports club with a dynamic, fast growing country", said a joint statement.

"This partnership links QTA and Paris Saint-Germain for the long term, providing an opportunity for Qatar to capitalise on the power and reach of sports to promote its numerous tourism assets", the statement added.

The agreement will be closely examined by UEFA (Union of European Football Associations), under the new Financial Fair Play…
