Swansea City AFC: a commemorative shirt to celebrate Chinese New Year

"The Swans (Swansea City AFC) will become the first Premier League club to wear a special commemorative shirt in celebration of Chinese New Year (on 16/02/2018, the year of the Dog) when they take on Burnley FC (matchday 27) at the Liberty Stadium (21,088 capacity) on Saturday 10/02/2018 kick-off at 16:00 CET)," said the Welsh club on 07/02/2018.

This initiative was the result of a collaboration between the club and its shirt sponsor Letou (Philippine online sports betting and gambling operator), whose logo appeared on the match shirts in Mandarin characters for the occasion, as did the name of the club under the Swansea FC crest. "With hundreds of millions of fans watching games every week in China, it is a huge target audience for the Swans and the Premier League," added the club.
