Eredivisie: AFC Ajax sign 3-year cooperation agreement with Sagan Tosu (J.League, JPN)

AFC Ajax (Eredivisie) and the Japanese club Sagan Tosu (J.League) have signed a three-year cooperation agreement, according to the Amsterdam (NED) club on 25/01/2018.

"The Japanese club intends to improve their youth academy with support from Ajax. The Ajax Coaching Academy (ACA) will offer Sagan Tosu support in areas such as organisation of the academy and the development of coaches and players. Moreover, both parties will explore the opportunities for commercial activities," said AFC Ajax.

"Via the specially founded ACA, Ajax aim to share their knowledge of developing a youth academy on a global level and exclusively. The club therefore strives to initiate similar partnerships on multiple continents," said the club.

The partnership follows the club's partnership with Guangzhou R&F FC (CSL) in November 2017, which began on 01/01/2018 (see below). "The Ajax Coaching Academy will travel to Japan multiple times a year to offer support to the Sagan Tosu academy," added the Dutch club.
