Trophée des Champions: the 2018 edition held in Shenzhen (South China) on Saturday 04/08/2018

The 2018 Trophée des Champions (French super cup, organised by the LFP) will be held in China. The match between the reigning Ligue 1 Conforama champions and the winner of the 2017-18 Coupe de France will be held in Shenzhen, a city located in South China, between Guangzhou and Hong Kong, on Saturday 04/08/2018, confirmed Didier Quillot, CEO the LFP, on 12/02/2018.

The same day the league announced that "the OGC Nice - Paris Saint-Germain (Matchday 30 of the Ligue 1 Conforama season) game is scheduled on Sunday, 18/03/2018 at 13:00, to better expose the French league on the Asian continent. Thanks to this exceptional time (kick-off, will be at 19:00 in Bangkok, 20:00 in Shanghai and 21:00 in Tokyo), the match will be broadcast at prime time in Southeast Asia," said the LFP.

This is the second time that the Trophée des Champions, organised abroad since 2009, will take place in China, after the 2014 edition held in Beijing (PSG - EA Guingamp, 2-0 at the Workers Stadium, 39,752 spectators). The match will be broadcast on beIN Sports in France.
