2019-2022 Premier League TV rights: 5 lots out of 7 (4 for Sky and 1 for BT) awarded for £4.6bn

The Premier League has awarded, on 13/02/2013, five out of seven lots, for a total amount of £4.6464bn (£5.016bn) or £1.488bn (€ 1.672bn) per season, following its tender for the domestic TV rights 2019-2022 of 200 live matches per season launched on 08/12/2017.

The UK pay-TV group Sky acquired Lots B, C, D and E (128 matches per season, details below) for £3.579bn (€4.02bn), or £1.193bn (€1.342bn) per season. The British telecom group BT (for BT Sport) acquired Lot A (32 matches per season) for £885m (€995m), or £295m (€332m) per season. Lots F and G (20 matches per season for each lot) have not yet been awarded.

For the 2016-2019 period, the Premier League awarded seven lots for the live broadcast rights to 168 matches to Sky and BT for a total of £5.136bn (€6.92bn at the time), or £1.712bn (€2.3bn at the time) per season, on 10/02/2015. For the current period, Sky broadcasts 126 matches and pays £1.392bn (€1.565bn on 13/02/2018) per season, and BT broadcasts 42 matches and pays £320m (€360m on 13/02/2018) per season.
