eSports: Hamburger SV (Bundesliga) recruits two players for the "Virtuellen Bundesliga 2018"

Hamburger SV (Bundesliga) will take part in the "Tag Heuer Virtuellen Bundesliga 2018" eSports competition with "one Playstation and one Xbox player", announced the German club on 07/02/2018. "HSV's official entry into eSports has not yet been announced, for the moment it is a test-worthy participation to discover this new sector and its business opportunities," added the club.

In partnership with its exclusive marketing agency Lagardère Sports and the eSports agency, eSportsReputation, Hamburger SV will send a team of three to the play-offs of the "Virtuellen Bundesliga" (VBL), on 10 and 11/03/2018 in Düsseldorf (GER). "Daniel Tissarek, professional player on the FIFA video game, will represent HSV on Playstation. On 07/02/2018, HSV launched the operation #moinVBL-CHALLENGE to recruit players on Xbox. The eight best candidates will be invited to a jury of experts on 20/02/2018 at the Volksparkstadion, who will then select the HSV Xbox player. Lastly, YouTuber Till Schüttrumpf, will support the team as "social networks expert," said the club.
