Ligue 1 Conforama: €42.4m loss for Olympique de Marseille in 2016-17

Olympique de Marseille (Ligue 1 Conforama) posted a negative net profit of €42.4m during the 2016-17 fiscal year. The club posted a loss of €1.186m in 2015-16.

Olympique de Marseille's operating profit amounted to €108.5m in 2016-17, compared to €110m in 2015-16, plus €17.5m (€64.7m in 2015-16) from player transfers, for a total income of €126m compared to €174.7m in 2015-16.

During the fiscal year, SASP Olympique de Marseille was bought, via the holding company Eric Soccer (95% owned by SASP), by American businessman Frank McCourt on 17/10/2016.
