Arsenal FC: Emirates (airline) extends as shirt sponsor until 2023-24 (£200m)

Emirates, an airline company based in Dubai (UAE), has extended its contract as the main shirt sponsor and training kit sponsor of Arsenal FC (Premier League) for the 2019-2024 period, an additional five seasons on 19/02/2018.

Emirates has the status of lead partner, which is the first level in the sponsorship hierarchy of Arsenal FC. The airline has been the main shirt sponsor and training kit sponsor of the Gunners since 2006-07, initially until 2013-14. Emirates have also held the naming rights for Arsenal's stadium, the Emirates Stadium (60,260 capacity), since 2004-05, initially until 2020-21.

In 2012, the English club and the airline concluded a partnership extension with a total value of £150m (€170m on 19/02/2018):
• Covering the 2014-2019 period for the sponsorship of shirts and training kits (estimated allocation of £16m/€18m for each of the five seasons of the contract);
• Covering the 2021-2028 period for stadium naming rights (estimated allocation of £10m/€11.3m for each of the seven seasons of the contract).
